RISING STAR:
In this camp, campers will learn some auditioning tips and tricks, improv skills, and write their own play to present at the end of the week! Campers will learn how to analyze characters to shine on stage!

POM POM ZOMBIES:
Cheerleaders, Football Players, Nerds, Tough Girls, Beat Poets & a Russian Nuclear Power Plant Owner! If you love Scooby Doo, Teen Beach Movie or Disney’s Zombies you will love performing POM POM ZOMBIES! Join the green faced gang this summer for theatre games and a hilarious camp performance. Everyone will play a role!

MUSICALS!:
Introduction to classical musicals. Using songs from various classics, campers will create their own short "musical" to present at the end of the week. Campers will get a taste for what it takes to put on a musical by learning choreography, acting, as well as learning a bit about all the technical elements necessary to produce a great show.

LEVEL TWO TEEN WORKSHOP:
This workshop will focus on the design aspects for 'Night of the Living Dead' and will be a hands-on practicum for building the set, light design, sound design and costume design for ACT's teen production. Every student will be invited to be a part of the production either onstage or backstage. Workshop hours will be 12-4:30pm and students can accumulate volunteer hours for their school and design credit for their resumes.
This workshop is for 13-18 year olds.

IMPROV WORKSHOP:
In this workshop, campers will learn the ins and outs of improv comedy. Jump into some seriously hilarious improv work. Learn how to build exciting stories, create fascinating characters, and present them in an inspiring way. This class is all about jumping in, having fun, playing hard, working together and finding your voice. Always fun, this class will focus on developing improv skills and creating performers.
The Improv Workshop is for entering 7th grade to 12th grade students.

WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT SHAKESPEARE?:
Campers will collaborate to
perform Shakespeare. They will
investigate how he directs actors
through his text, learn to create
unique characters through games and improv exercises, and stage combat. Students will create their own play–a kind of “Fakespeare”.

PIXAR REDUX:
Become an Incredible superhero, discover your true emotions Inside, or find out how Brave you can be! Explore the many amazing characters and settings in Pixar movies, and create a whole new story in Nemo’s ocean, Andy’s room, or any of the other imaginative lands found in beloved movie favorites.

SORCERER SCHOOL:
Join the inaugural class of the first American school of Witchcraft and Wizardry…in Allen! Decide the name of the school, discover four original houses, and imagine new ghosts and magical creatures. By the end of the week all mischief will be managed!

GREEK ADVENTURES:
Greek gods, goddesses, and mythical creatures have fascinated mortals through the ages. Explore legends to create stories where where your imagination will take awe-inspiring characters like Zeus and Athena to fantastic places.

MAD SCIENTIST:
What experiments will the mad scientists be cooking up in the laboratory? Put on you goggles and grab your beaker for a fun week of science and drama! Let's experiment and make a show of it!

Rising Star & Young Actors Camps cost $225. Interns Camps cost $115.

Most camps run from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
The Teen Workshop (Designing the Dead) will run from 12-4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
The Improv Workshop is only a 3-day camp from 8:30am-4:30pm.

Occasionally a camp will not make because not enough kids are enrolled. Camps can be refunded or you may select another camp to attend.
We love our interns! They have lots of responsibilities that help develop their leadership skills and prepare them to be a future Assistant Teacher at ACT. Some of their duties include helping the teachers, cleaning up during and after camp, mentoring campers and a whole lot more. YES! Please provide lunch for your camper each day. Please be aware that some people have allergies to nuts and should not be around nut-based products (like Peanut Butter). You are also encouraged to send a healthy snack with them each day, too.
